Oatmeal Date Drop Scones Recipe

1. Cake flour (2 1/4c)
2. old fashioned rolled oats (1c)
3. baking powder (1tbsp)
4. baking soda (1/2tsp)
5. cold unsalted butter, cut into bits (6tbsp)
6. chopped pitted dates (1/2c)
7. salt (1/2tsp)
8. brown sugar (3tbsp)
9. vanilla extract (1tbsp)
10. milk (3/4c)
11. egg (1large)
Method of preparation
1. First heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Take a large bowl. Beat milk, brown sugar, egg and vanilla extract in it.
2. Take another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, oat and salt in it. After mixing blend it in butter, then add dates and milk mixture in it. Mix it thoroughly to make sticky dough.
3. Take an ungreased baking sheet. Drop 1/3 cup of dough on to the baking sheet.
4. Place the baking sheet in preheated oven and then bake it for about 15-20 minutes or until they get golden. Now turn the scones and again bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden on both the sides.
