Squash Scones Recipe

1. Self rising flour (8ounces)
2. Unsalted butter, cut into cubes (4tbsp)
3. baking powder(2tbsp)
4. butter nut squash (6ounces)
5. ground ginger (1tsp)
6. milk (2 or 3tsp)
7. sugar (1/2c)
Method of preparation
1. First heat the oven to 425 degrees F. Take a medium size saucepan. Place the squash in it and then add cold water in it to cover it.
2. Boil it on simmer heat for 10 minutes or until it gets tender and then drain it. Now mash the squash with potato masher and again drain it.
3. Take a bowl, mix flour, ginger and baking powder in it and then add butter. Again mix it until it becomes like bread crumbs. Add sugar and mashed squash and then add milk with tablespoon until you have a smooth dough. Mix it with wooden spoon thoroughly.
4. Place the dough on the floured surface and then press it to make it 1 inch thick. Cut the dough into scones with cutter. Take a greased baking tray, place the scones on it and then dust flour on each of the scone.
5. Place the tray in an oven and bake it for about 12-15 minutes or until it gets golden brown.
