Chicken Tamales Recipe

1. Chicken broth (6c)
2. Meseca corn Masa Mix for Tamales (6c)
3. corn oil (1c)
4. rotisserie chicken (1 1/2large)
5. baking powder (1tsp)
6. corn husks (1bag)
7. salsa verde or tomatillo sauce (2cans)
8. salt (2tsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, soak the corn husks in warm water in the bowl until they get soft.
2. Take an electric mixer, add Maseca corn masa mix for tamales, corn oil, salt, baking powder and the chicken broth in the mixer and then blend them to get consistent mixture.
3. Shred the chicken and keep it to marinate in the green salsa or tomatillo sauce. Now spread the masa over the corn husks and then spread the marinate chicken on the top of the masa. Now fold the sides of the corn husk to the center over the masa.
4. Place the tamales in the steamer and cook for 35 to 40 minutes. Check them after every 20 minutes. The tamales get cooked when they get separate easily with corn husks.
