Cumin Chicken (Jeera Chicken) Recipe

Ingredients
1. Chicken (8med. Size pieces about 800gms)
2. grated onion (2med.)
3. finely chopped green chilies (3)
4. cumin seeds (1tbsp)
5. oil (3tbsp)
6. hot water (1c)
7. salt and freshly ground pepper (to taste)
8. lemon juice (1tbsp)
9. hot spice mix powder or garam masala (1tsp)
10. cumin powder (1tsp)
11. grated ginger (3tsp)
12. grated garlic (2tsp)
13. cumin powder (to garnish)

Method of preparation:-

1. Take a heavy bottomed pan, heat oil in it. Add cumin seeds in it and fry them. When the seeds get splutter then add sliced onions and green chilies in it. Saute them for about 3 minutes on medium heat until the onions get soft and changes to golden brown in color.

2. Now add chicken pieces and cook them for about 8 minutes until the chicken changes its color. Then add all the rest of the ingredients and mix them properly.

3. Cover the pan and cook it for about 15 minutes on medium heat until the chicken gets cooed. If the gravy gets too thick then little by little add more hot water in it and cook it by stirring. Cover the pan and cook it on low heat until it gets cooked. Sprinkle cumin powder in it to decorate the chicken and then serve it.
