Stuffed Pomfret Recipe

Pomfrets (3med. Size), sufficient oil for shallow frying the fish, red chili powder (1tsp), coriander powder (1tsp), oil for sauteing the coriander chutney (2tbsp), cumin seeds (1/2tsp), onion (1), green chilies (3), garlic (8cloves), ginger (1 ½” piece), fresh coriander leaves (1bunch), lemon juice (1), turmeric powder (1tsp).
Method Of Preparation:-
Take fish, clean and wash it and then make the split in the middle of each pomfret. Apply salt and turmeric powder on it and then keep it aside. Make the fine paste of coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, onion, cumin, green chilies by grinding them. Add lemon juice and mix it well. Take a kadai, heat 2 tablespoon of oil in it and then saute coriander paste in it for 5 minutes on low heat. Add coriander powder, salt and red chili powder in it and again saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Then keep the mixture to cool. Now stuff each pomfret with this mixture. Tie the pomfret with a piece of thread to secure the stuffing. Now shallow fry each pomfret on low heat until gets cooked. Serve the stuffed pomfret with onion kachumbar.
