Apple Clafouti Recipe

Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (2/3c)
2. heavy cream (1/4c)
3. whole milk (1c)
4. softened butter (1tbsp)
5. sweet tart apples, sliced (4c)
6. salt (1/4tsp)
7. ground cinnamon (1/2tsp)
8. grated lemon zest (1tsp)
9. vanilla extract (2tsp)
10. granulated sugar (1/4c)
11. eggs (3large)
12. powdered confectioner sugar (1tbsp)

Method of preparation:-

1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a square baking dish of 9-inch, butter it and keep it aside. Take a large bowl, beat cream, milk, eggs, flour, salt, sugar, cinnamon, lemon zest and vanilla extract in it.

2. Beat this mixture until it becomes smooth and make thin batter. Then pour ¾ cup of batter into the greased baking dish and spread the mixture on the bottom.

3. Place the dish in oven and bake it for about 2 to 4 minutes. Stop the baking before it cooks completely. When it starts to get thicken then take out the dish from oven and keep it to set.

4. Then place the dish on heatproof surface and place the apples on the hot batter in fan pattern. Spread the rest of the batter over the apples and place the dish in oven and bake it for about 35 to 40 minutes until the tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Then dust the confectioner sugar over the clafouti and serve it warm.
