Chimichangas De Manzana (Apple Fritters) Recipe

Ingredients
1. Flour tortillas (4)
2. melted butter (1tbsp)
3. cornstarch (1tbsp)
4. brown sugar (1c)
5. ground cloves (1/2tsp)
6. cold water (2tbsp)
7. chopped pecans (1/2c)
8. cinnamon (1/4tsp)
9. lemon or lime juice (1tbsp)
10. orange juice (1/2c)
11. green apples (2large)
12. fresh cream (for garnishing)

Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 375 degrees F. Take apples, peel, core and then cut them into thin slices.

2. Take a saucepan of medium size, add apple slices, orange and lime juice in it. Cover the pan and keep the apple mixture to boil. Reduce the heat to low and keep it to simmer for about 5 minutes. Mix brown sugar, ground cloves and cinnamon in it. Cook it uncovered for 2 to 3 minutes by stirring it.

3. Take small bowl, Add water and cornstarch in it and mix it well and then pour it into the apple mixture. Again keep it to boil for 1 minute by stirring it all the time. Add pecans and then put the mixture in a bowl and keep it to cool.

4. Take a medium size baking sheet, line it lightly with aluminium foil. Take a tortilla, put the fruit filling on the center of tortilla. Fold the ends to cover the filling. Place the tortilla on baking sheet with seam side down make other tortillas in same way.

5. Brush them with melted butter and then sprinkle the sugar over them. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes. Take out the sheet from oven and cool it on wire rack. Cut them in halves and then garnish the burritos with fresh cream. Now serve the burritos.
