Cinnamon Swirl Kuchen Recipe

Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (3c)
2. vanilla extract (2tsp)
3. milk (1c)
4. eggs (4)
5. sugar (2 1/3c)
6. shortening (1/2c)
7. butter or margarine (1/2c)
8. ground cinnamon (2tbsp)
9. salt (1tsp)
10. baking powder (3tsp)

Method of preparation:-
1. Take a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and butter in it. Then slowly add 2 cups of sugar in it and cream it until the mixture becomes fluffy.

2. Add eggs in it one by one and beat it well after each addition. Mix milk and vanilla in a bowl and keep it aside. Sieve flour, salt and baking powder and add it into the creamed mixture alternately with milk mixture.

3. Beat the mixture until it becomes smooth. Mix cinnamon and rest of the sugar. Take a tube pan of 10-inch, grease it and then sprinkle 1 ½ teaspoons of cinnamon mixture into the greased pan. Then pour the 1/3 cup of batter into the pan. Then pour 1/3 of the batter into the pan.

4. Dust half of the rest of the cinnamon/sugar mixture and then top with 1/3 of batter. Again repeat the layers. Smooth the top with spatula.

5. Place the tube pan in oven and bake it for 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Keep it to cool for about 10 minutes. Take out the pan from oven and place it on rack to cool and then serve it.
