German Chocolate Bars Recipe

Ingredients
1. German chocolate cake mix (1 box)
2. butter or margarine, softened (2/3c)
3. milk (1/4c)
4. Rich and creamy coconut pecan frosting (1 container)
5. semisweet chocolate chips (1c)

Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a pan of 13*9 inch, lightly grease the bottom and sides of the pan.

2. Take a bowl of medium size, add cake mix in it and cut butter in it with a fork or a pastry blender until the mixture becomes like crumbs. Place half of the mixture in the pan and press it to the bottom.

3. Now place the pan in the oven and bake it for about 10 minutes and then sprinkle chocolate chips over it. Place tablespoonfuls of frosting over the chocolate chips. Mix milk in the rest of the cake mixture and place teaspoonfuls on the frosting layer.

4. Again bake it for 24 to 28 minutes until the cake gets dry. Then take it out from oven and keep it to cool. Then place it in the refrigerator until it gets firm. Now cut it into 8 by 6 rows for 48 bars. Store the chocolate bars in loosely covered container.

Makes about 48 bars
