Mexican Chocolate Pie Recipe

For Crust:-
1. Vanilla Wafer Crumbs (1 1/2c)
2. melted butter (1/4c)
For Filling:-
1. Chocolate Cook and Serve Pudding and Pie Filling Mix (1package or 5 ounces)
2. milk (3c)
3. unsweetened cocoa (1tbsp)
4. almond extract (1/4tsp)
5. ground cinnamon (3/4tsp)
For Topping:-
1. Powdered sugar (2tbsp)
2. sliced almonds (1tbsp)
3. heavy whipping cream (1c)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a small bowl, mix wafer crumbs and melted butter in it.
2. Take an ungreased 9 inch pie pan, Pour the crumb mixture on the bottom and sides of pan. Place the pan in oven and bake it for 10 to 12 minutes or until it turns brown in color. Keep it to cool completely.
3. Take a saucepan of 2 quarter, add pudding mix, cinnamon and cocoa in it and mix milk in it. Cook the mixture according to the instructions of package. Take off the pan from heat and then add almond extract in it.
4. Now into the cooled wafer crust, pour this mixture. Cover it and keep it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours or until it gets set.
5. Take a large bowl, whip cream in it at high speed and add powdered sugar in it. Keep the cream in refrigerator. Before serving the pie, dip it in whipped cream and then garnish it with slices of almond.
