Mexican Fiesta Balls Recipe

Sifted flour (2c), sugar (1/2c), salt (1/2tsp), instant coffee powder (1tbsp), butter , at room temperature (1c), cocoa (1/4c), vanilla (2tsp), confectioner sugar (for coating), chopped, well drained Green Maraschino cherries (1/4c), chopped, well drained Red Maraschino cherries (1/4c), finely chopped pecans and walnuts (1c).
Method Of Preparation:-
Take a bowl, beat butter in it and then slowly add sugar in it. Beat the mixture until it gets fluffy. Add vanilla in it and blend it well. Take a bowl, mix flour, salt, cocoa and coffee powder in it. Then add this mixture to the creamed mixture. Mix it well and then add the cherries and pecans in it. Keep the mixture in refrigerator to chill. Make small balls of the dough. Places dough balls on the ungreased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Place the sheet in the oven and bake it for about 20 minutes at 325 degrees F. Take out the sheet from the oven. Keep them to cool on rack and then roll them in the confectioner sugar.
Makes about 5 dozen fiesta balls
