Snowy Pear Custard Recipe

1. Peeled and cored pears (3)
2. milk (1/2c)
3. eggs (2large)
4. unsalted butter, melted (1tbsp)
5. vanilla extract (1/4tsp)
6. water (1/2c)
7. sugar, divided (4tbsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take an oven-safe glass pie dish. Cut the pears in halves and place them in dish with flat side down.
2. Take a small bowl, mix sugar, butter and water in it. Then pour this mixture over the pear halves in the dish. Place the dish in oven and bake it at 350 degrees F until the pear gets soft.
3. Take eggs, break them and separate egg whites from yolks. Beat egg yolks in a bowl; add milk, vanilla and 1 tablespoon of sugar in it. Mix it well and pour it over the pears.
4. Again bake it for 25 minutes until the custard gets set. In same time beat egg whites with rest of the sugar until it becomes stiff. Pour it over the top of the pear custard.
5. Bake it for few minutes more until the top changes to golden brown in color. Keep it to cool and then place it in the refrigerator to chill and then serve it.
