Steamed Pears Recipe

1. Dried Chinese dates, softened in cold water, slited and pits removed (2)
2. Asian pears (2)
3. lemon juice to brush on the pears to prevent discoloration (optional)
4. honey (4tsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take pears, wash them and then pat dry them. Cut the top of the pears and remove the core.
2. Cut a small slice from the bottom to keep it stand straight during steaming. Spread 2 teaspoon of honey on each pear with spoon. Add 1 Chinese date and place on the top back. Apply the lemon juice over the skin of each pear.
3. Take a deep pot; place a rack for steaming inside the pot. Place the pears in plate on rack. Cover the pot and then steam the pears for about 30 minutes or until the pears get soft. When it gets ready then serve it warm.
