1. Jumbo prawns, dressed and marinated in lime juice for about 45 minutes (4)
2. grated coconut (20gms)
3. poppy seeds (1tsp)
4. cashew nuts (50gms)
5. coconut milk powder (2tsp)
6. milk powder (1tsp)
7. onion (1medium size)
8. raisins (1tbsp)
9. red chili powder (a pinch)
10. cumin seeds (1tsp)
11. salt (1tsp)
12. turmeric powder (1/2tsp)
13. mustard oil (5tbsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take marinated prawns; wash it to take out its sour taste. Take a pan, place it over heat. Heat oil in it and fry the prawns in it by stirring constantly.
2. Take a bowl, put the fried prawn pieces in it and keep it aside. Make the paste of all ingredients except the grated coconut in a blender by adding some water if needed.
3. Sauté the paste in the same pan for about 5 to 8 minutes until the color of the paste changes to brownish. Now put the fried prawns in the pan and mix them.
4. Then add grated coconut and water and then mix it well. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and keep it to cook for about 10 minutes. Take off the pan from heat and decorate the dish with grated coconut and raisins. Serve it hot with rice.
