Rice (2c), mustard seeds (1tsp), whole red chillies (2), chopped green garlic (1 sprig), oil (3tbsp), green chilli paste (2tbsp), chopped coriander leaves (2tbsp), broad bean seeds or leelva (250gms), asafoetida (a pinch), ginger paste (1/2tbsp), asafoetida (a pinch), salt (to taste).
Method Of Preparation:-
Take rice, wash them and then soak them for about half an hour. Then drain them. Take a kadai, heat oil in it. Mix mustard seeds, broken red chillies and asafoetida in it. When they get fried then add green chili paste and ginger in it. Fry them for 1 to 2 minutes and then add rice and 4 cups of boiling water in it. Reduce the heat to low and keep it to simmer until the water gets absorbed. When it gets ready then garnish it with green garlic and chopped coriander.
