Almond Citrus Biscotti Recipe

These are very good to taste. I will make these again.

Ingredients
All purpose flour (3 3/4c), baking powder (2tsp), grated lemon peel (1tbsp), grated orange peel (2tsp), sugar (1/2c), eggs (4), vanilla extract (1tsp), coarsely ground almond (2tbsp), softened butter (1/2c) and salt (to taste).

Method of preparation:-
almond-citrus-biscottiTake a bowl. Mix butter and sugar in it. Put 3 eggs in it one by one and beat it properly after each egg. Now add orange peel, lemon peel and vanilla extract in it. Beat it well. Take another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt in it. Add this mixture into the cream mixture. Mix it thoroughly to form dough and then divide the dough into rectangular shapes. Place these on baking sheet. Take a small bowl; beat the remaining egg lightly in it. Spread this egg over the rectangle shapes of dough and sprinkle almonds over it. Place the baking sheet in oven and bake it at 350 degrees F for about 25 to 30 minutes or until gets lightly brown. After baking cool it and place it on the board for cutting. Cut it into ¾ inch slices in diagonal shape with serrated knife. Now place these slices on baking sheet with cut side down and bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until get golden brown. Turn the sides while baking. Take off from the oven and then place on wire rack for cooling. After cooling store the biscotti in air tight container.
Make about 24 biscotti.
