Anise Walnut Biscotti Recipe

These biscotti are good for gifts as these look beautiful.

Ingredients
All purpose flour (8c), anise seed (3tsp), anise extract (2tsp), vanilla extract (2tsp), egg (8), chopped walnuts (1c), egg yolk (2), sugar (2 ½ c), butter (1/2pound) and baking powder (7tsp).

Method of preparation:-
anise-walnut-biscottiFirst heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a bowl, mix butter and sugar in it. Add eggs and vanilla and again mix it well. Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl and then add it in egg mixture. As we are prep raring anise biscotti then add anise seeds and anise extract in it and mix it thoroughly. According to desire add walnuts in it and then form the dough of this mixture. Take a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Place roll of dough on sheet and press each log about ¾ inch height and 3 inches wide. Brush these logs with egg yolk and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until gets golden brown. Take of the logs from the oven and place on the cutting board to cut into slices in diagonal shape. Now place on baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. Biscotti should be dry and toasted properly. Cool them and then store in air tight container.
Make about 60 biscotti.
