Butter Scotch Biscotti Recipe

These biscotti are the best my friends and family have ever tasted.

Ingredients
All purpose flour (2 1/2c), butter scotch chips (1c), baking powder (1/2tbsp), packed brown sugar (1c), butter (1/2c), eggs (4), whole almonds (1c), vanilla extract (2tsp), salt (1/4tsp) bourbon whiskey (5tbsp).

Method of preparation:-
butter-scotch-biscottiFirst heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take small saucepan, put butter in it. Place it on low heat to melt the butter or until it gets brown. Take it off from the heat immediately and pour the butter into a medium size bowl. Mix bourbon and sugar into the butter mixture. Beat egg in this mixture and then add vanilla in it. Take a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt in it. Now add this mixture into the egg mixture and then put butter scotch chips and almonds in it. Make 2 long loaves of this mixture and then place in the baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in oven and bake it for about 15 to 20 minutes or until loaves get firm to touch. Take off the sheet from oven and keep the loaves for cooling. When the loaves get cool, cut into slices with serrated knife. Place slices with cut side up on sheet and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes. Turn the sides while baking and bake until get toasted from both sides. After baking, cool and store the biscotti in air tight container at room temperature.
Make about 36 biscotti.
